He received his Medical Degree from the University of Alabama, School of Medicine. He performed his General Surgery and Otolaryngology training at New York University Medical Center, New York City, New York. His training in Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery was at the Otology Group in Nashville, Tennessee, associated with Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Pappas has practiced otologic medicine at the Pappas Ear Clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, for the past twenty-five years. He has been elected to prestigious professional societies including The Triologic Society and The American Otological Society. His expertise spans the evaluation and management of the patient afflicted with dizziness, treatment of chronic ear infections, hearing restoration and cochlear implant surgery, medical and surgical treatment of facial nerve disorders and skull base tumors. He has lectured regionally and nationally and has published numerous scientific studies in the field of otology and neurotology.
